Action for Healthy Kids

Action for Healthy Kids addresses childhood undernourishment, obesity and prevention by working with schools to help kids learn to eat right and be active every day. This focus is because of the unique position and influence that schools have on children and their families, in addition to their responsibility to provide nutrition and physical education and their many opportunities to promote healthy eating and active living. Action for Healthy Kids partners with families, community members, professionals and business to support schools in this effort.

Boys and Girls Clubs in Indian Country

For over 20 years, Boys & Girls Clubs in Indian Country has proudly partnered with Native communities to serve their youth. Boys & Girls Clubs in Indian Country is committed to addressing the challenges unique to Native communities to ensure all youth, especially those who need us most, fulfill their potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Today, Boys & Girls Clubs continues its pledge to expand youth development in Native communities as the largest nonprofit organization serving over 80,000 Native youth.

Campus Kitchens Project

Founded in 2001, The Campus Kitchens Project  is a national organization that empowers students to create innovative solutions to hunger. Each day our student volunteers recover extra food that would otherwise have gone to waste on campus, and transform it into healthy meals for food insecure individuals. Since the movement began, The Campus Kitchens Project has recovered more than 3.5 million pounds of food and served 2.25 million meals nationwide. Campus Kitchens also go beyond the meal by using food as a tool to promote poverty solutions and end hunger in their communities.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization that provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education. FCCLA is the “Ultimate Leadership Experience.
