Florida Hospital for Children

Fit is provided through the Florida Hospital for Children's Healthy 100 Kids, a comprehensive pediatric wellness initiative with the goal of giving kids the best chance of living to a healthy 100. It approaches each aspect of physical and mental wellbeing, not only for children and teens, but also for the family unit when household support is needed to affect change.

100 Black Men of America

100 Black Men was founded as an organization in New York City in 1963. The national organization, 100 Black Men of America, Inc., began with nine chapters in 1986 as a national alliance of leading African American men of business, public affairs and government with a mission to improve the quality of life for African Americans, particularly African American youth. Today, under the direction of Albert E. Dotson, Jr., the organization has 116 chapters in the United States, England and the Caribbean.

1st Due New

1st Due Fit was formed to help reduce the Line of Duty Deaths within the Fire Service Caused by Cardiovascular Issues. Through education of fellow firefighters in the important subjects of Nutrition And Physical Fitness training to reduce these preventable deaths and help change the fire service to a healthier better fit providing service.

555 Fitness

555 Fitness is a firefighter run charity's who's main goal is to reduce firefighter line of duty deaths related to cardiac events through fitness. Each day we provide workouts free of charge on our Facebook, instagram and web page.

Action for Healthy Kids

Action for Healthy Kids addresses childhood undernourishment, obesity and prevention by working with schools to help kids learn to eat right and be active every day. This focus is because of the unique position and influence that schools have on children and their families, in addition to their responsibility to provide nutrition and physical education and their many opportunities to promote healthy eating and active living. Action for Healthy Kids partners with families, community members, professionals and business to support schools in this effort.

Dance Towards Health

Dance Towards Health, Inc. DC Scores

For people who believe in a well-rounded childhood, DC SCORES has a quality, team-based approach providing youth with the arts, athletics, and academics that will engage, enrich, and improve their lives. DC SCORES builds teams through after-school programs for 1,500 low-income DC youth at 47 schools by instilling self-expression, physical fitness, and a sense of community. DC SCORES accomplishes this in an innovative model combining poetry and spoken word, soccer, and service-learning year-round, and has worked with over 8,000 students since its founding in 1994.

Every Inch Matters

Firefighter Throwdown

The Firefighter Throwdown addresses the prevailing problem in the fire industry of obesity and related heart attacks and stroke. This athletic competition targets and attracts firefighters internationally. The pillars of the event are firefighter health, wellness, nutrition and exercise as it relates to safety, job performance and quality of life. The Throwdown serves as a stage, to prove by example, for other firefighters, that health, wellness, nutrition and exercise are not only desirable, but necessary, in order to be a successful and safe firefighter.

Girls Health Ed

Girls Health Ed. is a volunteer-based organization with locations in Washington, DC, Baltimore, NYC, Los Angeles and Denver. Through after-school workshops, we educate girls and young women between ages 8 and 17 on their overall health to enable lifelong, empowered decision-making. Leveling the Playing Field

Boston Celtics captain and 2008 NBA Finals MVP Paul "The Truth" Pierce and his foundation, The Truth Fund, launched The Truth on Health Campaign to help empower and encourage young people to lead healthier lifestyles. The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington

Thunder Hill Nature Park

The Thunder Hill Park Alliance, a 501 (c ) 3 non profit organization was formed by a group of community leaders who were concerned about the outcome a 300 acre farm in the center of the new community, Columbia, Md. Columbia has grown to be one of the most successful new communities in the universe. Many of us have a long history in the development of this place. We formed a Park Alliance, received some money from a local Foundation and hired a world famous Children's Landscape Architect to come here and take a look. Thunder Hill Nature Park is his gift to our city. 

Tumble Gym Bus

Tumble Gym Bus offers a mobile gymnastics program for preschool-aged children in San Diego. The classes INSIDE the bus are action-packed and fully-interactive, while promoting the importance of healthy living. Our curriculum teaches the fundamentals of gymnastics with music, dance and games.​​  We offer in-house field trips, birthday parties, play groups, weekly classes, and company events!

U.S. Soccer Foundation

The mission of the U.S. Soccer Foundation is to enhance, assist and grow the sport of soccer in the United States with a special emphasis on underserved communities. United for D.C.

United for D.C. is committed to champion educational, health, and recreational programs and events that serve disadvantaged youth of greater Washington, DC by engaging the resources and skills of D.C. United and our community. Through the foundations 3 signature programs, United Soccer Club, United Reads, and Kicks for Kids, area youth with little or no resources are able to participate in a free after school soccer program, receive both new books and a reading and healthy lifestyles program in the classroom, and have the opportunity to attend a D.C. United game at no cost.

United States Tennis Association

September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month and tennis is a great way to get your kids active! A USTA Free Tennis Play Day can serve as a great event to sample tennis with the extra excitement and benefit of the USTA’s association with Nickelodeon! Kids will have the opportunity to play tennis as well as participate in a variety of tennis skills activities. Play Days are designed to give kids additional court time in a fun, low-pressure, non-elimination setting where they can continue to develop and enhance their skills.

Walking Classroom

The Walking Classroom is a national award-winning education program that provides students with an innovative way to get exercise without sacrificing instructional time.  Students listen to kid-friendly educational podcasts, that align to educational standards for 4th and 5th graders, while walking as a group.   The program’s “Walk, Listen and Learn” methodology capitalizes on the favorable link between exercise and cognitive function, and kids and teachers love it!

Youth Fitness Coalition

The Youth Fitness Coalition (YFC) is a New Jersey-based non-profit organization committed
to combating childhood obesity by making exercise programs fun and by educating

All Children Exercise Simultaneously has been recognized in the media and Ripley' Believe It or Not

Youth Movement

Youth Movement is an initiative that was developed by the Health & Wellness Committee of the 100 Black Men, in 2002. This comprehensive youth program promotes health, fitness and mentoring to children ages 4 to 18. We sponsor year-round track and field clinics, health screenings, nutrition education, character development and life skills workshops. The goal of Youth Movement is to improve the health and well being of marginalized children, and to help insure their success.
