Smart from the Start aims to provide educators and families of children ages 3-5 years with the tools and resources they need to provide their preschoolers with a strong beginning during the most crucial time in their development. Developed on the foundation of Together Counts™ curriculum, teaching kids to make healthy decisions that foster healthy habits throughout their lives, Smart from the Start provides flexible activities that can be easily integrated into classroom or home environments.

To access the lesson, you will need to set up an account in the PSU Better Kid Care On Demand system. You can do that by clicking on the link below:

Once you have set up an account, you will have access to all the lesson titles for FREE. Scroll down to the Smart from the Start: Teacher Training for Pre-K Wellness Curriculum module and click on that title. Once you have completed the lesson and are ready to take the assessment, you will be prompted for $5.00 payment.

Head Start teachers can enter the code: 4KG8BE for FREE certificate (no $5 charge).

NOTE: This code will only work for the Smart from the Start module and each user will only be able to get one certificate of completion. Users can access all lessons and videos as much as they would like, but they can only get credit for completing it once.
